Have you ever thought about the pain that comes after giving up? How will you face the people that have trusted you so far? How will you live with the thought that you are a useless punk, how would you face the mirror? How would you feel to pass through the mad crowd; those whom you've been lying to, promising to succeed? Is it easy to crawl back to your previous useless life, through your own path of blood and tears, after you've sacrificed so many things? How will you justify your decision to not continue fighting?
And I am telling you, little coward, whatever your decision is, I understand. Because it is as painful to give up as it is to go on. BUT...
What do you think the 'but' is about?
The BIG BUT(t) :P is about hanging on to your hopes, not considering it a failure, a cowardly gesture. Think of it as if the only way to go is forward. And it is. Because along the way, you've changed. Your sacrifices, your emptiness will just make way for a new future. Your gesture will later be considered as a wise decision. There is no turning back. There is just evolution.
So put the bottle down. Put the ice cream back in the fridge. Put back the chair and take the string down from the ceiling. Ignore the crowd. Ignore the heroes that you admire. Ignore all heroic principles. Just be yourself. Trust yourself. And people will follow.
Be the master of your life. Take running away as a decision to wait some more or to rethink your situation. The only one who can call an action a failure, is you. If you consider it just a change of plans, then you'll rule this Earth my friend.
Cheers to you, proud coward!
